Having your hair cut the Kell Skött way is quite an experience. Danish born Kell originally trained in Scandinavia's most respected salon but now runs two brilliant west London salons, one in Golbourne Rd, the other in the fabulous beauty salon, BeautyWorksWest. Both of these relaxed Scandinavian feel salons offer an extensive list of Phyto super effective 'hair treatments' to leave you glossier, frizz free and with all the bounce you're after.
Kell handpicked his team of stylists each with their own individual expertise in all aspects of hair care, who offer free in depth consultations and hair advice, cutting and colour services alongside contemporary styling. Senior colourist Shyli Fredman (based at the Lambton Place salon) has a Master Colour Expert award, which is one of the most well recognized accolades in the industry. This covers not just creative and corrective colouring techniques, but also the psychology and physics of colour. She's one of just 20 stylist in London who currently hold the title!
Perfect for locals in search of an after work fix, there's even an affordable walk in blow dry service offered Monday to Friday, priced a reasonable £15. There's also express manicures available in which a no-nonsense 'file, buff and shape', guarantees beautiful hands within just 25 minutes, ideal if you want to make the most of your time between treatments or as the colour sets.
Also famed for his use of state of the art equipment, Kell has installed luxurious backwash chairs in both salons (first of their type in the UK), which makes everything here an even more heavenly experience. The finishing touches here are rather nice too - you're offered treats such as iced caramel latte and praline hot chocolate (or Rooisbos tea and red espresso if you're feeling like being good.) Plus, the salon doubles up as a private gallery, showcasing local contemporary photography. But our favourite fixture the two immaculately groomed resident cocker spaniels - Max and Blue, whose images are to appear on their own canine hair care range, which you will also be able to buy in the salon. Amazing!

1. Go Glossy - This new colourless service is quick and long lasting which will leave your hair not only super glossy, but noticeably fuller.
2. MicroMist Deep Conditioning Treatment - The newest haircare treatment sensation from Japan. Ultrasonic waves generate microscopic particles of mist (far finer than found in conventional steam treatments) allowing conditioners to permeate deeper into damaged hair. Combine this with the restoring properties of Phyto products and your hair will be noticeably healthier.
3. Lustre Our new signature treatment for the ultimate super glossy, healthy. After cleansing with a detoxifying shampoo, conditioning products are mixed depending on your hair's requirements. 15 minutes under the Micro Mist, (above) allowing the treatment to permeate deeper into damaged hair. Finally, the perfect blowdry and you will leave with super glossy, healthier and noticeably fuller hair.
4. Total Hair and Scalp - (includes blow-dry) so many people suffer from scalp problems, dandruff etc. but it is never really mentioned! Your scalp and hair will be in tiptop condition after this and you will leave with an ingredients list of the products used to enable you to recreate this treatment at home.
