We asked Nicola to explain why NEOM products are so utterly gorgeous.
Why choose organic cosmetics?
The average woman is putting over 250 chemicals on her body nowadays - just think about the soaps, the washes, the creams that you use every day. We have to get that chemical count down! Organic oils are amazing for nourishing the skin long term, organic candles have none of that horrible black soot, and organic creams are brilliant if you are prone to sensitive skin or dry patches. Learn what's in your products and don't just trust big manufacturers, they're often the worse offenders for chemical overload.
Your candles have got such a cult status now - why are they better than others?
They're made with just vegetable wax and essential oils - it's more a case of what's not in them - no paraffin wax, no synthetic scents, no nasty chemicals. Because we use so much essential oil, as they burn they fill the room with scent which them works as a treatment as you breathe in the air.
What do you mean by treatments? How does a product work a treatment?
You decide if you need relaxing, pampering or perhaps reviving, as we use so much essential oil you either absorb that (e.g. through a bath oil) or inhale it (e.g. through a candle). The results are amazing as the products are so powerful- we have people writing to us all the time because our relax candle has helped them sleep better!
What do you recommend for a gift?
Real Luxury is our cashmere blanket of scents - it's great in a candle, a bath oil or mist. I'd also recommend our new hand washes and lotions which start at just £13 and are make a beautiful organic gift
What's best if you're stressed out?
Anything in our Tranquillity scent - I use the bath oil, followed by Unwind body oil - we do great things with lavender. It's a powerful oil but sometimes needs modernising so it smells great - no old lady scents at NEOM! Mixing it up with sweet basil and jasmine is divine.
